Project Goals
- To quickly develop foot traffic and a loyal following
- To raise awareness for the restaurant
Outcome
- Grand opening week consisted of 13 private, onsite events with five of those benefiting various charities
- Both major daily newspapers covered grand opening, with large stories in the business and food sections of the papers
- Two morning news programs came to the stores for live TV coverage
- Opening day boasted 75 percent of the restaurant reserved before they even opened their doors
- Dozens of stories in local lifestyle and national trade magazines were slated for the months following grand opening
- A total donation of $97,000 was given by Olive & Ivy in the form of food and beverages, supplies, invitations and ticket sales to the selected charity organizations
